A Brief Introduction to the School of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Gongshang University Hangzhou College of Commerce
The School of Science and Technology offers three undergraduate programs: Computer Science, E-Commerce and Logistics Management.
Following the principle of “integrating theory with practice and pursuing excellence”, the School gives full play to the teachers’ capability, promotes tutor system, and emphasizes the process of students’ scientific research training, forming a good atmosphere in which the whole faculty attaches great importance to teaching.
Academic Staff
The academic staff is well-structured and of high-quality. The School now has 30 professional teachers, among whom 40% have senior academic titles or doctor’s degree, and one is the 3rd-tier candidate of Zhejiang “151 Talents Project”. More than 90% have teaching experience of over 10 years in universities. The professional teachers graduated from such top universities as Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Hong Kong University, Nanyang University of Technology and Jeonbuk National University.
Achievements
In recent years, the teachers of the School have published dozens of papers in SCI, EI and core journals, and participated in or presided over many scientific research projects at or above the provincial levels. At the same time, in combination with the characteristics of professional personnel training, the School drives the development of practical teaching system by discipline competition, and organizes students to actively participate in ACM programming competition, national software design and development competition, national electronic design competition, Robot competition for college students of Zhejiang Province, logistics design competition for college students of Zhejiang Province, and e-commerce competition for college students of Zhejiang. The competitors of the School have won three national awards and several provincial awards and the number of awards in discipline competitions has always been in the forefront of Independent Colleges in the Zhejiang Province.
