Zhejiang Gongshang University Hangzhou College of Commerce (hereinafter referred to as "College") is a full-time independent college. It was established with the approval of the People's Government of Zhejiang Province in 1999. The College was authorized by the Ministry of Education in 2004 and passed the provincial inspection in 2018. "Honesty, Perseverance, Diligence and Honesty" is the motto of the College. Since moving to Tonglu in 2014, the College has been keen on reforming, striving to build a high-level application-oriented university with distinctive characteristics, whilst cultivating high-quality "innovative business" talents with a solid theoretical foundation, strong practical ability and an innovative spirit. With a strategy of "openness, integration and excellence", the College is oriented towards innovation, application, regionalization and internationalization. It takes similar majors as the support, and fully relies on the good foundation of disciplines, faculty conditions and teaching resources of Zhejiang Gongshang University. Taking the disciplines of Economics and Management as the main body, it builds an overall layout of undergraduate majors with the synergistic development of the seven major disciplines of Economics, Management, Humanities, Law, Engineering, Arts and Science. The College consists of 10 teaching departments (including 7 disciplinary colleges), 13 management departments and 2 teaching-aid departments. Relying on the existing 33 undergraduate majors (directions), the College will gradually form four major groups of Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, E-commerce and Digital Media, and support the development of the 10 new business majors with the "innovative business" Intelligent Operation Center. The "innovative business" Intelligent Operation Center will support the development of 10 new business majors, and ultimately promote the transformation and upgrading of the four major groups and cross-fertilization development. Up to now, five majors of Finance, Business Administration, Product Design, Economic Statistics and E-commerce have been approved as provincial first-class major construction points, Product Design and Finance have been approved as provincial "13th Five-Year" featured majors, and Business Administration, International Economics and Trade, and Journalism have been approved as provincial "12th Five-Year" emerging featured majors, and 27 courses such as "Enterprise Management" have been recognized as provincial first-class courses, and 55 courses have been selected as provincial first-class undergraduate courses. The College adheres to the main line of the innovative business discipline and effectively deepens the connotation development. It adheres to discipline leadership, promotes cross-fertilization and digital leadership, implements the Innovative Business Talent Cultivation 2.0 Project, and gradually leaps to the 3.0 version. In 2023, the College focused on the construction of 15 innovative business majors and 75 innovative business courses, and continued to transform the traditional business majors. Optimizing the layout of major construction, three new majors, including Cross-Border E-commerce, were formally enrolled, and continued to declare three majors, including Digital Economy, Supply Chain Management, and Internet of Things Engineering, which were approved by the Department of Education and reported to the Ministry of Education. The Cross-Border E-commerce Talent Training Program was selected as the second batch of cross-border e-commerce funding program in Hangzhou. Continuing to build an intelligent and digital teaching scene support system based on the innovative business science, two innovative business science laboratories, such as Artificial Intelligence Comprehensive Laboratory and Digital Media Art Professional Laboratory, have been completed and put into use, boosting the transformation and upgrading of the college's four major course clusters. Implementing the construction of smart classrooms and promoting innovation in classroom teaching, the first nine “smart classrooms” were put into use, 16 courses were taught in the “smart classrooms”, and a cluster of intensive, intelligent and open business teaching laboratories took shape initially.The College deepens the teaching reform and the construction of special teaching area, and carries out in-depth teaching research and teaching reform. 2023, the College set up 16 provincial teaching reform projects, and 211 courses declared formative evaluation classroom teaching projects.
